MANILA - A study by the Makati Business Club shows the Office of the Vice-President is the worst performing government agency this year amid corruption allegations hurled at Vice-President Jejomar Binay.

Sixty-seven senior executives surveyed by the MBC gave a negative score to the OVP and ranked it last in a list of 64 government agencies.

Last year, the OVP was 33rd in the rankings.

Joining the OVP in the bottom of the list are the transportation department and Bureau of Customs.

Meanwhile, business executives remain satisfied with the Bangko Sentral, PEZA and Department of Tourism, which maintained their hold as the best performing government agencies.

1 Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (90.8)
2 Philippine Economic Zone Authority (84.4)
3 Department of Tourism (81.8)

Among the stories making the headlines during the survey period were President Aquino's final State of the Nation Address and Binay openly criticizing the Aquino administration.
