MANILA -- Supporters of vice presidential candidate Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. gathered at the Baclaran Church in Pasay City on Sunday to pray for him as he continues to fight for the vice presidential slot.

Marcos, together with his mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, joined supporters in the afternoon mass.

Marcos refused to speak to media about the ongoing vote count.

At the Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City, hundreds of supporters of vice presidential candidate Leni Robredo joined a special mass for her.

Robredo supporters said they will continue to pray for her as the count for the vice presidential race continues, where Robredo leads Marcos by a small margin.

The camp of Robredo on Sunday declared that it is "mathematically" impossible for her rival Marcos to overcome her advantage in the partial count of votes.
