National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) Executive Director Benito Ramos announced that the red alert status over the country has been lifted after the failed rocket launch of impoverished but nuclear-armed North Korea.

Ramos said the government has lowered its alert level to blue, which means that government forces monitoring the situation in areas vulnerable to the debris from the rocket will be decreased by half.

The no fly, no sail and no fishing zone policy of the government over the eastern seaboard of Luzon has likewise been lifted, Ramos said. Headstart, ANC, April 13, 2012
