MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Justice on Thursday said it has filed two syndicated estafa charges against the incorporators of investment company Aman Futures and three other individuals.

Justice Secretary Leila de Lima said the charges were filed before the Pagadian Regional trial court this morning.

Charges against the staff, tellers and security guards of the company were dropped due to lack of probable cause.

Meanwhile, the DOJ is still studying if charges should also be filed against Pagadian City Mayor Samuel Co and if the case should be forwarded to the Office of the Ombudsman.
