Four members of the string section of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) played for the listeners of radio dzMM on Sunday.

The PPO is highly regarded as one of the top musical ensembles in the Asia Pacific region. It was established on May 15, 1973 as a CCP Philharmonic Orchestra and was initially intended to accompany performing artists at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo.

Among the songs played by the PPO were The Beatle’s “When I’m 64,” Henry Mancini's Oscar-winning “Moon River” and the OPM hit “Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang.”
