Netizens, officials and personalities are tweeting their hopes and prayers for Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo, who was on a small plane which crashed into waters off Masbate on Saturday afternoon.

Robredo was among the local top trending topics on Saturday along with "Masbate."
Senator TG Guingona says he's awaiting word on Robredo's condition and still praying for his rescue. He tweets: "Inaabangan ka namin, Jesse. naniniwala kami sa'yo."

Valenzuela Mayor Sherwin Gatchalian says he's overwhelmed by the love for Robredo. He urges his followers to pray for the DILG chief.

Gregorio Larrazabal of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting tweets, "I hope Robredo wore his life vest, fastened his seat belt, unbuckled after impact, floated up and swam to a nearby island."

President Aquino's sisters Ballsy Aquino-Cruz and Pinky Aquino-Abellada attended a vigil Saturday evening for Robredo at the La Salle Greenhills.

Akbayan's Risa Hontiveros tweeted an excerpt from the homily in the vigil: "We are like the apostles with Mary waiting in the upper room, the cenacle, sad but hoping."

And writer Nina Terol tweets, "This is the night when the Philippines unites to pray for a real miracle and when we are reminded that there are good guys in government."  -- ANC, Headlines, August 19, 2012
