The protests that erupted across America after Republican Donald Trump won the United States polls would still have been possible if he lost to Democrat Hillary Clinton, an analyst said Monday.

Historian Manolo Quezon told [email protected], what happened was "explosion of indignation and alarm" by people who were "threatened and indignant over a Trump win," but had Clinton won, there would have been protests by "people with guns."

"In that sense, this shows you that this is a fight and a division within American society that is not going to go away anywhere soon particularly because they have a midterm in two years," he said.

Quezon however believes what's important now is to study well what Trump may bring as the new state leader, especially those which will affect the whole world by extension.
