“I don’t think we’re ready for that yet, especially the Philippines,” ani Peachy Veneracion, vice president ng Carousel Productions.

“We have a lot of religions here that are really conservative. We’re talking about Moslems, Christians, Catholics. So I don’t think it will happen in the near future,” sabi naman ni Lorraine Schuck, CEO ng Carousel Productions.

“I do respect them as individuals, but I know that they have their own pageants, which they can also excel in and show their talents,” sabi ng isang kandidata.

“I would say no, only because we should set rules and regulations, and because it’s a rule in Miss Universe that you should naturally be born a woman,” anang isa pang kandidata.

“I believe it should be women who are joining pageants talaga kasi we are created by God as women and men,” sabi ng isa pa.

“We don’t have to be the pioneering [group] in this particular field, being the first ones to accept, but we’ll see how it happens,” ani Ramon Monzon, presidente ng Carousel Productions.

“I believe in equal rights. If I were to compete with a transgender, I would see him or her as a worthy competitor,” sabi ni Kathleen Subijano, kandidata sa Miss Philippines-Earth.
