Having known the difficulty of looking for work in a foreign land, Nirary Dacho took it upon himself to help refugees like him find gainful employment.

A Syrian refugee now residing in Australia, Dacho founded "Refugee Talent," a social enterprise that matches skilled refugees to the right companies.

"The idea was how to help refugees settle in Australia. We realize that employment is a major problem for refugees," he said.

Dacho said his 8 years of work experience and master's degree from Syria did not help him land a job easily in Australia.

"I applied for more than 100 applications in different fields in IT and I couldn’t get anyone of them because I don’t have local experience," he said.

At present, Refugee Talent has matched over 100 refugees to more than 200 businesses and start-ups in Australia.

Dacho said his company is also looking at penetrating the Asian market to help more refugees find jobs.
