MANILA, Philippines -- United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) senatorial bet Nancy Binay sees nothing wrong with political dynasties.
On Mornings@ANC, the daughter of Vice President Jejomar Binay said her family should not be blamed for getting elected into important posts if this is what the public wants.
Binay placed fourth in the latest Pulse Asia survey on senatorial preferences.
"For me kasi, there is nothing wrong with political dynasty because at the end of the day naman 'di ba it's the people who will vote. If they want our brand of service eh we're willing to work for them," she said.
Binay added her surname is more of a challenge to her than an advantage because the public's expectations will be high.
"I guess for some people it is an advantage. But for me, it's more of a challenge eh kasi parang 'yung standard na sinet ko for myself is 100% more than 'yung brand of service na binigay ng daddy ko," she said.
