A video of Morissette singing one of Regine Velasquez’s hits is currently making the rounds online.
When she appeared on “ASAP Chillout” on Sunday, Morissette gamely obliged to the request of her fellow mainstays to sing “Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka.”
Without hesitation, the Kapamilya singer performed her own version of the song.
As expected, Morissette hit all the high notes effortlessly, even showing off to the viewers her signature whistle towards the end of the song.
As of writing, Morissette’s version of “Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka” has already reached more than 1 million views and has been shared over 25,000 times on Facebook.
Though young, the 21-year-old singer already has a wealth of experience in show business, having joined a TV5 talent search at age 14, and with theater roles including "Camp Rock" even before her finalist finish in "The Voice of the Philippines" in 2013.
The ABS-CBN singing competition opened bigger opportunities for Morissette, including a regular "ASAP" stint as one of the show's Birit Queens, and a well-received album whose massive success was fueled by her viral renditions on YouTube.
