MANILA, Philippines -- Triumphant athletes from the recently concluded 26th Southeast Asian Games in Indonesia will receive cash incentives.
According to Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Richie Garcia, a total of P12-million in cash rewards will be given to athletes who won medals, as well as their coaches.
The athletes and coaches will be given their prizes at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
The Philippines finished 6th in the SEA Games after collecting 36 golds, 56 silvers and 77 bronze medals.
It was the country's poorest performance in a decade. -- Report from dzMM
