MANILA, Philippines – Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s father doesn’t believe the much anticipated fight between his son and Manny Pacquiao will happen.

Although Pacquiao already announced that negotiations for the blockbuster bout are ongoing, Floyd Mayweather Sr. remains pessimistic.

“I think the fight is never going to happen. I see them trying to get it together now,” Floyd Sr. was quoted as saying in Boxing Scene.com.

Floyd Sr., who is not on speaking terms with his son, said the camp of Floyd took an interest in Pacquiao only after his lackluster performance against Juan Manuel Marquez.

“I guess they want to get it together now because Manny Pacquiao just showed his [expletive],” he said.

If the fight pushes through, Floyd Sr. is confident his son will beat the Filipino WBO welterweight champion.

He claimed there is no way Pacquiao can win against Floyd Jr.’s boxing style.

“Aint no way in hell he whoop Lil’ Floyd. No way on whatever part of earth, Mars, Venus, whatever, aint no way that he whoop Floyd. No way,” he said.
