MANILA, Philippines – The country’s top riders will clash head-to-head when the 2012 National Drag Racing Championship (NRDC) greenlights at Aseana City, Parañaque this weekend.

The nationals, slated on December 16, will be the culminating activity of this year's drag racing events in the country.

Featuring the top riders who outraced their competitors in their respective areas and regions, the finals will honor the top racers in the Underbone 115, Scooter 130 and Raider 150 categories.

The 2012 NDRC, which aims to provide legal and safe races to the riders, carries the legacy of Suzuki Philippines’ “Raider Breed Wars.”

The event backed by Phoenix Cyclomax will also serve as a “fun day” for riders, fans, and their families as organizers will hold other activities aside from the race proper.

Among these are parlor games from Suzuki, the Biker Babes competition and a concert to cap the night.

Suzuki has also invited motorcycle clubs to join and contribute to the fun day. Guest clubs have been asked to come up with a cheer for the crowd’s entertainment.

Brand ambassador Ramon Bautista will host the afternoon program for the awarding of the Best Club Presentation and the Bikers Babe competition.

To cap the celebration, the three podium finishers for each category will be awarded with their trophies.
