MANILA, Philippines – Filipino fight king Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao believed that his third fight against his greatest rival, Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico, had settled their rivalry once and for all.

After battling to a draw and winning via split decision in their first two encounters, Pacquiao faced Marquez again in November 2011. He came in as the favorite, but turned in a lackluster performance and won only via a disputed majority decision.

Marquez remains convinced that he won all three bouts.

In a blog distributed by HBO and published by RingTV, Pacquiao revealed that after the third fight, he was done with Marquez once and for all.

"When I got back to the dressing room, I thought, 'That finally settles that. I won't have to fight Juan Manuel Marquez again,'" he revealed.

Pacquiao turned out to be wrong: He and Marquez will fight again on December 8 in Las Vegas. Both fighters have repeatedly vowed that the fourth clash will provide a definitive end to their saga, something the trilogy bout failed to do.

"I was not surprised I won the decision," Pacquiao said. "I thought I won the fight."

"Marquez wants to blame others for losing the decision, but he didn't do anything except run in the last half of the fight. I brought the fight to him. I made the fight," he added.

"If I had fought the same style of fight he fought, there would not have been a fight at all. There would have been no action."
