MANILA, Philippines – Mixed martial arts (MMA) legend Dan Henderson will tangle with UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida in the main event of UFC 157, according to an online report.
According to MMA website Sherdog, the fight, which was initially slated for UFC 156 on February 2, will take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on February 23.
Henderson, former PRIDE and Strikeforce champion, was supposed to challenge Jon Jones last September, but was forced to bail out after suffering a partial tear in his medial collateral ligament (MCL).
The Machida bout will be his first since recovering from the injury.
Machida, meanwhile, is coming off a knockout win over wrestler Ryan Bader in UFC on FOX 4.
