MANILA, Philippines – Boxing champion Timothy Bradley said Brandon Rios should go through him first before being awarded a big payday fight against Manny Pacquiao.

Bradley, who has yet to get a bout since his controversial win against Pacquiao last June, said he wouldn’t settle for a fight against Mike Alvarado who lost to Rios.

“The last time I talked to Cameron [Dunkin], my manager, he said that they wanted me to face Mike Alvarado," said Bradley in Boxing Scene

"What’s the point of that? That doesn’t make any sense to me. If Top Rank wants to make me happy, why not give me the fight with Rios? Why fight the guy that Rios beat? That makes no sense to me.”

Just like Pacquiao, both Rios and Bradley are promoted by Bob Arum’s Top Rank Inc.

Top Rank also handled the Pacquiao-Bradley fight which saw the unbeaten American walk away with Pacquiao’s World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight belt.

The controversial scoring that led to Bradley’s victory prompted the American boxer to seek a rematch versus Pacquiao.

But the Filipino boxer opted to face Juan Manuel Marquez in a more lucrative clash.

Bradley said that if doesn’t get Pacquiao or Rios, he’ll fight the biggest earning boxer out there: Floyd Mayweather Jr.

“I can also fight the king of boxing, ‘Money’ Mayweather," Bradley claimed. "I think that would be a great fight for boxing.”

“This Top Rank-Golden Boy beef shouldn’t affect my career and it shouldn’t get in the way of all these great fights,” he said. “These are great fights for boxing, these are great fights for my career.”
