Pastor is one of the 35 Asian champions chosen to compete in the CTM Cup for Macau Grand Prix, having qualified from 150 racers from all over Asia.

The 2002 Formula Renault Champion in Asia, Pastor has been given numerous “Driver of the Year” awards.

He hopes to mount a comeback this year, as his last podium finish occurred two years ago when he placed third in the 58th Macau Grand Prix.

Pastor said he dedicates his race to the late Dodgie Laurel, the first Filipino to win the Macau Grand Prix in 1962.

Meanwhile, Pastor’s younger brother, Don Thomas Pastor, posted a double-win in the Global Time Attack in Buttomwillow, California last weekend.

The younger Pastor finished first place in his class and second overall, driving his 680-hp BMW M3 race car prepared by Reinner Motorsport.

Don Thomas was the Driver of the Year in 2010 during the PNTCC Championship before leaving the Philippines to continue his racing career in the United States.
