The Azkals are a win away from making Philippine football history.

They'll be looking to just that when they face off against Nepal on Tuesday, November 14th at the ANFA Complex in Kathmandu.

Holding the top spot in Group F, a win for the visiting Pinoy side will ensure a spot in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, something that has never been done in federation history.

If their first meeting is any indication of how this match will go, then the Azkals have a good shot at clinching a spot with a game to spare in the tournament, given that they blew out Nepal, 4-1 at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium, to open the third round back in March.

Since then, the Azkals have managed to stay unbeaten, defeating Tajikistan and going to a draw twice against Yemen.

Nepal, on the other hand, have yet to win a match in the third round, and have already been eliminated from qualification.

Still, Group F's cellar-dwellers could play spoilers to the history-chasing Azkals.

A draw or a loss against Nepal, and the Azkals face added pressure when they close out the third round against Tajikistan next March.

In other Group F action, Tajikistan and Yemen face off in a critical matchup for both squads.

With six points each, the two nations also try to inch closer to an Asian Cup berth.
