MANILA, Philippines – Luz McClinton, the first Filipina to win the Pro Fame Figure World Championship in the United States in 2010, added another trophy to her case when she was declared the world’s best at the World BodyBuilding and Fitness Federation (WBFF) Southwest US Championship in Oklahoma.
McClinton was judged the WBFF ProCard winner and Figure World champion, beating famous health and fitness expert Ashley Horner.
McClinton, who gained fame as “Mama Luz” from "Pinoy Big Brother," also won the bronze in Diva Fitness category of the same competition.
“Thank you for all your prayers. Finally, we are champions again,” said McClinton, who dedicated her victory to “mothers like me.”
She will be back in Manila on Tuesday and then fly to Berlin, Germany after a week for another competition.
Luz, who also recently won in the Phil-Asian Pacific International Body Building Competition in Cebu, also wants to fulfill another dream – boxing.
The “Mom of Steel” is a fan of Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire and Ana “The Hurricane” Julaton.
“I am willing to train in boxing, why not? I have a good trainer – my father,” she said.
