MANILA, Philippines – The Meralco Bolts and the Petron Blaze Boosters are both aiming to bounce back from listless defeats when they take on each other Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena in the PBA Philippine Cup.

The Bolts (4-3) are reeling from a 106-81 loss to Rain or Shine last week and are eager to take advantage of the Boosters’ injury woes as they gun for their fifth win this conference.

A win against Petron (3-5) will allow the Bolts to keep in step with the Alaska Aces for the fourth spot in the PBA standings.

Meanwhile, the Boosters are in a must-win situation, with Olsen Racela’s wards having won only once since he took full control of the coaching reins.

Petron is also coming off a difficult loss, having suffered an 82-92 setback against Talk 'N Text last week.

They will be playing without rookie star JunMar Fajardo, veterans Dorian Pena and Danny Ildefonso, as well as swingman Marcio Lassiter. All players are out with an assortment of injuries.

More pressure is now on stars Arwind Santos and Jay Washington, as well as point guard Alex Cabagnot.

Game time is at 4:15 p.m.
