MANILA, Philippines -- Mexican fighter Juan Manuel Marquez issued a stern message to his greatest rival, Filipino boxing icon Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, ahead of their fourth encounter on December 8 in Las Vegas.
"Tell him (Pacquiao) to train hard because I am training very hard," Marquez said, as quoted by the World Boxing News.
Marquez is hard at the work in the Romanza Gym in Mexico City, where he is being guided by longtime trainer Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain.
He has already sent at least one sparring partner to the canvas during his training camp last week.
Meanwhile, Pacquiao has entered his second week of training at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles under the guidance of Freddie Roach.
Pacquiao held the first part of his camp in General Santos City in the Philippines.
It will be the fourth meeting between the two rivals, with their first three fights all ending in controversial fashion.
Both Pacquiao and Marquez have promised that the fourth fight will have a more decisive ending.
