Docena, Bersamina top Pasay DepEd Chess

MANILA – Jerad Docena and Paulo Bersamina topped the 2009 Pasay City DepEd Division Meet Chess last Friday at the Padre Zamora Elementary School in Pasay City.
Docena, a 2007 Asean Age group silver medallist, captured the gold medal while Bersamina, RP's reigning 12-Under Boys champion, won the silver medal.
The two chess players will represent Pasay City in the NCR Meet.
Other young chess wizards who will represent Pasay City are Clycel Ciriaco of South District (Elementary Girls); Roi Mark Panahon of Pasay South; Kevin Arellano Arquero of JAS (High School Boys); Hanna Noemi Portem of Kalayaan National High School; and Jastine Asencio of Pasay East (High School Girls).
