MANILA, Philippines – The supporting bouts of the HBO pay-per-view fight card between Filipino fight king Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and his great rival, Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico, are beginning to be finalized.

It has been confirmed that International Boxing Federation lightweight titlist Miguel Vazquez will defend his belt against unbeaten Filipino Mercito “No Mercy” Gesta in the undercard.

“Vazquez-Gesta is done,” said Sean Gibbons of Zanfer Promotions in an interview with RingTV. “That’s ready to rock and roll.”

Vazquez will plunge right back into action after defeating Marvin Quintero via split decision last week. Gesta, meanwhile, last fought in August, beating American boxer Ty Barnett via ninth round knockout.

RingTV and ESPN are both reporting that undefeated featherweight Yuriorkis Gamboa will also be featured in the undercard.

Gamboa is set to face Mexican fighter Miguel Beltran Jr. It will be Gamboa’s first fight since September 2011.

Beltran, meanwhile, will look to rebound from a split decision loss to Roman Martinez last September 15.

Another undercard match-up will feature a battle of undefeated featherweight prospects, Javier Fortuna and Patrick Hyland.

All fights will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on December 8.
