MANILA, Philippines – Filipino fight king Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao has started training at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, California for his December 8 clash against rival Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao arrived in Los Angeles Saturday night and took Sunday off in order to rest from jet lag. He reported to his trainer, Freddie Roach, in the famed gym Monday (Tuesday in Manila).
Pacquiao held the first three weeks of his training camp in General Santos City, Philippines, under the supervision of his longtime friend, Buboy Fernandez.
"I am really very eager na mag-start. Busog na busog na ako sa ensayo, bago pa lumipad dito, kaya I feel na my body wouldn't mind if we start early," Pacquiao said in an interview with PhilBoxing’s Eddie Alinea.
"Ang lakas na ng katawan ko as a result of our three-week stamina-building regimen while in General Santos City," he added.
Pacquiao and Marquez are fighting for the fourth time on December 8, after their first three fights all ended in controversy.
