MANILA – Mexican American fighter Brandon Rios boasted that he punches so hard that he’ll give Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao flashes of his knockout defeat to Juan Manuel Marquez.

In an interview posted on Boxing Scene, “Bam Bam” maintained that he’s confident of his chances against the fighting congressman from the Philippines.

“If Manny Pacquiao feels he has an advantage, he will change his way of thinking when he feels my punch. He’s going to start thinking, ‘Awww man, I remember when Juan Manuel Marquez hit me like this!’” claimed Rios.

Rios further claimed that his punches will affect Pacquiao that it will force the Filipino to rethink his strategies when they share the ring on November 24.

“I believe he will change his way of thinking but it will be too late because when I’m there and I give him the first punch, I’m going to start doing what I do best,” he said.

Pacquiao needs a dominant victory against Rios to make up for his back-to-back losses to Timothy Bradley and Marquez.

But the beloved Filipino fighter believes Rios’ brawling style will be perfect for his game plan. He said it won’t be hard to find the Mexican-American because Rios will be charging all the time.

“That’s what I want – his style of fighting. He likes to come inside and I like that style. I don’t like to chase and I’m pretty sure I won’t have to chase him,” said Pacquiao in a recent teleconference with the boxing media.
