MANILA, Philippines – Filipino flyweight Milan “El Metodico” Melindo will fight the winner of the title unification bout between Hernan “Tyson” Marquez and Brian “The Hawaiian Punch” Viloria, according to a Boxing Scene report.
Marquez holds the World Boxing Association flyweight title, while Viloria holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO) belt at that weight class.
Melindo currently holds the WBO’s international flyweight championship and is the No. 1 contender for the world title.
According to Boxing Scene, the WBO has ordered the winner to fight Melindo, who holds a record of 28 wins with no loss.
Marquez and Viloria will battle in their title unification bout on November 17 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.
