MANILA, Philippines – The Dallas Mavericks are hoping their star player, Dirk Nowitzki, will be back sooner rather than later.
Nowitzki underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, and the Mavericks have projected his return to action anywhere from three to six weeks.
Nowitzki, an 11-time All-Star, was bothered by inflammation on his knee as early as last season’s training camp.
The Mavericks will open the season on October 30 against the Los Angeles Lakers. – Report from ANC
