AMA Computer University Titans join UCAA caging

MANILA, Philippines - The AMA Computer University Titans, semifinalists in the just concluded NAASCU championships, continue their massive buildup for bigger collegiate tournaments with their participation in the Universities and Colleges Athletic Association.

The team coached by AMA head of basketball operations Mark Herrera, is composed mainly of rookies following an overhaul of the team that last won the NAASCU crown in 2006.

The team includes Jezer Calma, Ian Macaranas, Carlos Dizon, Dean Martin, Paul Jerome Carpio, Jason Jordan, Archie Bansil, John Santos, Jefferson Arceo, Joker Disipulo, Aldrich Liwag, Kim Villena, Mark Puspos, Rizalde Angeles and Russel Quiambao.

Herrera, who is also coach of the national Under-13 team that will see action in a Guam tournament in November, is assisted by Edwin Ancheta, Sudan Daniels and Eugene Bautista

The Junior Titans are also competing in the UCAA junior division bannered by the St. Augustine High School International owned by AMA and also coached by Herrera.

The Titans are supported by first vice president Arnel Hibo, school director Aldric Manrique and team owner Amable R. Aguiluz and sponsored by Johnny Rockets Restaurant and AMA Bank.
