MANILA, Philippines – The Boston Celtics have returned to Boston as they prepare for their first pre-season game against the New York Knicks.

The Celtics are expected to perform as the best team in its division, likely making them the second-best team in the Eastern Conference behind the NBA champions Miami Heat.

The Celtics just wrapped up their European pre-season schedule with a 105-75 rout of Emporio Armani of Milan.

Rajon Rondo and Jeff Green scored 17 points apiece, while Kevin Garnett needed to play only 12 minutes and 23 seconds.
