MANILA, Philippines – Filipino cue artist Dennis Orcollo bowed to Poland’s Mateusz Sniegocki, 8-6, in the semi-finals of the recently concluded 2012 World Pool Masters at the Hala Legionow in Kielce, Southern Poland.

Orcollo had won the 2010 edition of the event and finished second in the 2011 tournament after losing to German Ralf “Kaiser” Souquet.

Sniegocki, however, could not continue his winning run after losing in an all-Polish finals against compatriot Karol Skowerski, 8-6.

Skowerski took the top prize of $20,000 and the champion’s trophy, while Sniegocki received the runner-up purse of $10,000.

Sniegocki earlier beat Souquet, 8-6, in the first round and then edged Filipino-Canadian Alex Pagulayan, 8-6, in the quarter finals. -- By Marlon Bernardino
