MANILA, Philippines – Barako Bull will be gunning for win No. 2 when they play Petron Blaze in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday.
Barako Bull coach Junel Baculi said he hopes that the Energy Cola’s overhauled line-up will play with better chemistry this time around, unlike in their 90-87 win over Air21 last week.
"We've got a lot of new faces, so we have to build up chemistry as soon as possible,” said Baculi in PBA.ph.
The Energy Cola committed a total of 25 turnovers against the Express.
“What we showed against Air21 might not be good versus Petron. Kailangan namin maglaro ng mas maganda,” Baculi said.
Petron Blaze, meanwhile, is also undergoing adjustments on its own with its new coaching staff.
Olsen Racela took over the reins since Ato Agustin left the coaching job.
Sharing the coaching chores with Racela is Petron Blaze’s consultant and former Gilas coach Rajko Toroman.
The Boosters struggled in their Philippine Cup debut, resulting to a 102-86 defeat to Rain or Shine Elasto.
