Could this be an offer she can’t refuse?

UAAP volleyball star Jaja Santiago could earn roughly P1.2 million if she accepts a 6-month stint to play in the Thailand Volleyball League.

According to ABS-CBN Sports, Bangkok Glass wants the 6-foot-5 National University hitter to join the team alongside Thai stars Pleumjit Thinkaow, Pornpun Guedpard and Sutadta Chuewulim.

Bangkok offered Santiago $4,000 per month and an apartment if she plays for the club.

Somchai Donpraiyod of the Thailand Volleyball Association inquired about Santiago’s availability to play through an e-mail to Philippine Superliga (PSL) president Ramon Suzara.

“The offer is USD 4,000 per month (for a) six-month contract (with) apartment. If she agrees, they would want her to travel (here) ASAP,” according to the email.

Santiago is currently a vital player in NU's campaign in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference. The Lady Bulldogs are enjoying a 1-0 lead in their best-of-3 semis against Arellano.

“The problem is they have to apply O-2 (final lineup) by Saturday morning. So whether it’s a yes or a no, can she give us the answer by Saturday?” Somchai wrote.

The recruitment is part of Bangkok Glass’ effort to reclaim the title after losing to Supreme Chonburi. (h/t ABS-CBN Sports)
