Milo expects 22,000 runners in Cebu leg
MANILA, Philippines – Organizers of the 36th National Milo Marathon are expecting at least 22,000 runners when they hold the run’s Cebu eliminations leg this coming Sunday.
“We are expecting a big turnout this Sunday. About 22,000 runners will be joining the race and we would like to give all of them the best experience all throughout the event,” said Cebu City race organizer Ricky Ballesteros in a statement.
“We are also looking to select the best representative for the region in the National Finals,” he added.
The event will also host a cheer dance competition, special side events and a firework display onsite to up the ante and entertain runners and spectators alike.
Among the thousands of runners expected to hit the track is former Pinoy Biggest Loser contestant and fitness advocate Alan Choachuy.
After the Cebu eliminations leg, the next qualifying race of the 36th National Milo Marathon will shift to Bacolod on October 14, and Iloilo City on October 28.
The Mindanao leg will commence in General Santos on November 4, Davao City on November 11, Butuan City on November 18, and Cagayan de Oro City on November 25.
The 36th Milo Marathon National Finals will be on December 9 at the SM Mall of Asia Grounds in Pasay City.
