MANILA, Philippines – For the first time, ALA Promotions is making their "Pinoy Pride" series available on pay-per-view.

Pinoy Pride 9, which features Donnie Nietes battling Mexican Ramon Garcia Hirales, will be the first event to be made available on pay-per-view.

Nietes and Garcia will face off on Saturday, October 8 at the University of St. La Salle Gymnasium in Bacolod City.

"We are surprised at the tremendous demand for this championship fight that we are experiencing in Cebu now," ALA Promotions president Michael Aldeguer told "We had to find solutions to address this matter."

"We are glad to announce to boxing fans that Pinoy Pride 9 can now be viewed exclusively live in Cebu on PPV," he added.

Aside from the Nietes-Garcia clash, Pinoy Pride 9 will also pit AJ "Bazooka" Banal defending his WBO Asia Pacific bantamweight belt against undefeated Mexican Mario "Macas" Briones.

According to Sun Star Cebu, Sky Cable subscribers can avail of the PPV event for P300.
