MANILA, Philippines -- The University of the Philippines has registered its biggest win in over a decade with an upset of the defending champions in the UAAP 80 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

The Fighting Maroons are adamant, however, that their job is far from finished as they set out to continue winning up against similarly streaking Far Eastern University on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.

State U (3-1) and the Tamaraws (3-2) both go for a third win in a row at 2:00 PM and all of the action will be on S+A, S+A HD, and livestream.

In Women’s action, the UE Lady Warriors (3-1) seek a share of second against the Adamson Lady Falcons (1-3) at 10:00 AM while the FEU Lady Tamaraws (2-3) seek a bounce back win at the expense of the UP Lady Maroons (0-4) at 8:00 AM.

Adamson University, at long last, is looking like the serious contender it was considered to be heading into the UAAP 80 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

The Falcons hope to keep soaring as they try for back-to-back wins at the expense of winless University of the East at the Araneta Coliseum, Sunday.

Franz Pumaren wants nothing more than for his wards (2-2) to keep in step with the top four teams in his first showdown in the season with “Manong” Derrick Pumaren and his Red Warriors (0-4). All of the action will be on S+A, S+A HD, and livestream.
