MANILA, Philippines – University of the East (UE) stretched its winning run to four games by trouncing Adamson University, 62-44, in the UAAP Season 80 women's basketball tournament on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Lady Warriors improved to 4-1 since losing their season-opener to defending champion National University.
Love Sto. Domingo had an all-around effort of 21 points, 14 rebounds, seven steals, and six assists, while Christine Cortezano (13 points, 13 boards) and Bienca Ramos (10 points, 10 rebounds) also produced double-doubles.
The Lady Warriors have solidified their hold of the third spot.
Meanwhile, Far Eastern University overwhelmed University of the Philippines, 73-49, to halt a two-game slide and even its record to 3-3 in fourth spot.
Valerie Mamaril paced the Lady Tamaraws with 21 points while Precious Arellado chipped in 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
The Lady Falcons dropped at 1-4 while the Lady Maroons remained winless in five contests.
