MANILA, Philippines -- After making back-to-back semifinals this season but with zero Finals to show for it, Star starts its journey to advance to the championship round as it takes on Meralco in the Final Four of the 2017 Governors' Cup.

Rested and ready to go, the no. 4 Hotshots look to pounce on the top-seeded Bolts who are coming off a grueling quarterfinals series with an import that's not exactly 100 percent.

After taking care of NLEX in just one game, Star had almost a week of rest ahead of the best-of-5 semis matchup agains the Bolts. Meralco had to fight off Blackwater in two games and to make matters a little worse, Allen Durham injured his ankle just last Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Hotshots are as healthy as they can be all conference long with Marc Pingris back to peak performance. Import Kris Acox has also settled in quite nicely after coming in late to Star's regular season campaign.

Game 1 of this semis clash will tip off at 6:30 p.m. Sunday live from the Alonte Sports Arena in Binan, Laguna.
