'Pacquiao, Marquez rule out 5th fight'
MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao’s adviser said both the Filipino boxer and Juan Manuel Marquez wouldn’t want to face each other again after their December 8 bout.
Michael Koncz said this is why both boxers will be gunning for a knockout when they slug it out for the fourth time in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Neither of these fighters want to have number five, so I believe that both of the guys, Manny and Marquez, are going to change their strategy and there’s going to be a lot more aggression in here,” said Koncz in Examiner.
Koncz predicted that the fourth bout will end by stoppage.
“They both want to put an end to this trilogy and I strongly believe somebody is going to knock somebody out,” Koncz claimed.
Pacquiao knocked down Marquez thrice in the first round of their fight in 2004. The Mexican fought back in the remaining rounds and the fight ended in a controversial draw.
The two again figured in tight ring battles in 2008 and 2011 with Pacquiao winning by decisions. Both of those fights also ended in controversy.
