MANILA, Philippines – The Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws have a 35-28 half time lead over the De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers in the battle for the last Final 4 seat in the UAAP men’s basketball.
Terrence Romeo and Mark Bringas had 8 points each for FEU, who quelled a DLSU uprising early in the second quarter at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.
The Tamaraws were in complete control of the game in the first quarter, suffocating the Archers for a 19-13 advantage.
La Salle did a better job early in the second canto to tie the game at 19-all on Norbert Torres’ free throw.
But the Tamaraws halted the Archers’ run with good offense and regained the upper hand, 33-26.
Jeron Teng’s shots on the stripe cut FEU’s lead to 33-28 before the Tamaraws scored another bucket for a 35-28 lead.
