PBA: Rain Or Shine wallops Blackwater, keeps slim top-4 hopes alive

J'Nathan Bullock scored 30 points and Raymond Almazan added 20, as Rain Or Shine shot lights out from downtown to beat Blackwater 122-98 in the PBA Governors' Cup at Araneta Coliseum on Saturday.

Rain Or Shine closed its elimination-round campaign with a 7-4 record, keeping its slim hopes of grabbing a top-4 spot alive.

From a mere 1-point lead at halftime, Rain Or Shine started to break away in the third, going up 89-77 after the quarter, before pulling away for good in the fourth.

Bullock and Don Trollano each had 3 3-pointers, as Rain Or Shine shot 16 of 36 from behind the arc, good for 44%.

Allein Maliksi had another excellent outing for his new squad, but his heroics weren't enough.

The sweet-shooting swingman finished with a team-high 29-points, to go with Henry Walker's 21 points and 13 rebounds for Blackwater, which fell to 5-6, guaranteeing it the eighth seed in the quarterfinals.
