MANILA, Philippines – Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao fell one rung lower in Yahoo! Sports’ latest pound-for-pound list following Andre Ward’s impressive stoppage of Chad Dawson early this month.

According to Yahoo! Sports’ Kevin Iole, Ward garnered a total of 282 points, good enough to catapult him to No. 2 from his previous ranking of No. 4.

Pacquiao, who used to occupy the 2nd spot, was relegated to No. 3.

The 8-division champion received a total of 279 points. He is due for a December 8 battle with Juan Manuel Marquez.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. maintained his hold on the No. 1 spot.

Ward recently retained his World Boxing Association (WBA) and World Boxing Council (WBC) middleweight titles by disposing Dawson in 10 rounds.

Ward dominated Dawson by scoring knockdowns in Rounds 3 and 4.

Ward dropped Dawson again in the 10th round, prompting the referee to stop the fight.
