MANILA, Philippines – Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White promised to give light heavyweight champion Jon Jones an earful when they meet in Toronto, Canada for UFC 152.

White earlier said he’ll have a man-to-man talk with Jones following the cancellation of UFC 151, but when he heard of Jones’ “piece of meat” comment, he promised to give the guy some tongue-lashing.

"The Jon Jones piece of meat (expletive) thing. When I see him in (expletive) Toronto, that's the first (expletive) thing we're going to talk about. Piece of meat? Give me a (expletive) break," said the UFC president in MMA Fighting

Jones came up with the term after White blamed him over the cancellation of UFC 151.

White offered a Chael Sonnen fight to Jones as a replacement for the injured Dan Henderson. But Jones turned it down, citing that the bout takes place in eight days. This led to the cancellation of the event.

"I felt like a piece of meat," said Jones, during an interview with MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani. "My job is not to be popular among fighters, I could care less if any fighter liked me or not; my job is to show up, do my job and go back home."

White’s reaction? "That sounds like something a male supermodel would say: I feel like a piece of meat out here.”

"That pisses me off worse than (expletive) canceling the event. I just heard that one today,” he added.

White also vented his ire on Jones’ trainer, Greg Jackson, claiming Jones was agreeable to the Sonnen fight until Jackson gave his opinion.

The trainer reportedly said Jones would be committing the biggest mistake in his career by facing Sonnen on eight days’ notice.

“His (expletive) goofy trainer should have kept his face shut," said White.

Stepping in Henderson place is Vitor Belfort.

Jones and Belfort will fight in the main event of UFC 152, which takes place on September 22 in Toronto, Canada.

White plans to talk to Jones after the fight.
