Ice hockey team ng bansa, lalong pursigido matapos mag-kampeon sa SEA Games

Nakuha ng Team Pilipinas ice hockey team ang karangalan bilang kauna-unahang kampeon nitong sport sa nagdaang Southeast Asian (SEA) Games sa Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Nagpakitang-gilas ang mga atleta sa kanilang angking abilidad.

"I remember just hugging everyone right after we won and that in itself was amazing," kuwento ng forward ng Team Pilipinas Ice Hockey na si Paul Sanchez.

Ayon sa head ng Federation of Ice Hockey League na si Christopher Sy, hindi naging madali ang selection process at pagbuo ng team.

"Some of the players have started playing when they were small. Some have been playing 15 years ago, so they've been here for the longest time and some kids play sa rink so that's how it started," aniya.

Sulit ang lahat ng pinagpaguran at hard work ng team sa nagdaang SEA Games kaya lalong ganado at pursigido sila para mas palawakin ang sport sa bansa.

"We are excited and proud of our achievement. It shows to other Asian countries that the Philippines can play ice hockey," Dagdag ni Sy. "We have the skills to be world champion and we really knew that we're going for gold, we are happy!"

Imbes na mag-relax ang team, mas pinaigting pa ngayon ng koponan ang kanilang mga ensayo para sa mga susunod nilang torneo.
 
Umaasa sila na mananalo muli ng mga gintong medalya at mas makilala pa ang sport na ice hockey sa bansa.
