Raymond Almazan scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Rain Or Shine survived a third-quarter outburst by Phoenix to win 116-111 in the PBA Governors' Cup at Ynares Center in Antipolo city on Wednesday.

After being up 61-45 at halftime, Rain Or Shine saw its lead evaporate, as Phoenix went on a 25-6 run in less than 6 minutes to take the driver's seat 70-67.

The Elasto Painters returned the favor in the fourth, though, outscoring their opponents 17-5 at one point to stave off Phoenix, raise their record to 5-3 and solidify their bid for a top-4 finish.

J'Nathan Bullock contributed 33 points and 3 steals for Rain Or Shine, which tied San Miguel Beer and TNT in the standings. TNT was playing NLEX at the time this story was posted.

The defeat spoiled Matthew Wright's brilliance on offense, as the Gilas Pilipinas veteran scored a game-high 36 points including 5 3-pointers in his best game of the tournament.

Brandon Brown chipped in 33 points and 20 rebounds for the Fuel Masters, which fell to 2-8 and joined winless Kia out the door.
