LONDON -- Sporting a plaster over his left eye, Johnriel Casimero was in good spirits after defending his IBF World Flyweight title last night.

"Quadro Alas" predicted a knockout, and true to his word, he beat British challenger Charlie Edwards via stoppage in the 10th round at London's O2 arena.

The Leyte-born fighter connected with a crunching left hook to the head that knocked Edwards to the mat.

Edwards, in his just ninth professional bout, got up but Casimero pounced and left the referee no choice other than to call it off.

It was his first successful defense of the flyweight title and felt he did well.

Magaling, magaling 'yung kalaban natin. Ayus 'yung fight," he said.

At mahaba 'yung height niya.

Casimero's trainer Jhun Agrabio was also pleased.

"Talagang exciting nangyayari at tska explosive fight," Agrabio said. "Unang una kasi beterano na rin siya. Kumbaga, three times champion na din 'yan, so need to be patient."

Casimero was also very grateful for the support he has received.

Salamat po," he said.

He also hopes this win will encourage more Pinoys to show him some love.

Matatangap sa amin, masaya na kami," he said.

The Pinoy has already called out his next target - Nicaragua's undefeated four-time world champion Roman Gonzalez.

At maganda yung pinagpakita niya. Gusto ko lalabanan para magharap naman kami. You're next, you are next, Chocolatito! Yes, sir!"
