Kauswangan school wins triple crowns


MANILA, Philippines – Over 5,000 athletes from 185 schools joined the 25th Milo Little Olympics Mindanao Eliminations Leg over the weekend.

The Kauswagan Central School took home triple crowns by snatching the Biggest Delegation, Best in Saludo and Most Disciplined School awards for the elementary division.

Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School also snagged three of the most coveted special awards for the secondary division, namely Biggest Delegation, Best in Saludo and Loudest Cheer.

The cheering competition proved to be most thrilling with rounds of high-flying stunts from the elementary division’s victor, HN Cahilsot Elementary School, and the secondary division’s Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School.

Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School amplified the excitement in this year’s Mindanao leg with 141 points beating the defending overall champion for the secondary division, Corpus Christi School with 120 points, while Tangub City National High School settled for third with 95.5 points.

Cagayan de Oro City Central School pulled through a recent destructive fire accident and trounced its elementary division competitors Tangub City Central School and Corpus Christi School with 168 points.
