Arum: Marquez has no problem with Vegas
MANILA, Philippines – Juan Manuel Marquez is willing to fight Manny Pacquiao, even if the fight takes place in Las Vegas, according to boxing promoter Bob Arum.
Marquez, who earlier said he wasn’t keen on a Pacquiao rematch in Las Vegas, apparently agreed to return to Sin City just to get the fight done.
"It's no issue, as far as I'm concerned," Arum said in Yahoo! Sports.
Pacquiao and Marquez already fought thrice, with all of their bouts taking place in Las Vegas.
However, the Mexican believes he never received a fair shake each time they fight at the world’s gambling capital. Marquez is 0-2-1 against Pacquiao in Las Vegas.
But as Arum works out a deal that could lead to a fourth face-off between Pacquiao and Marquez, the boxing promoter said the Mexican seemed unconcerned about the venue.
"He's never brought it up, not once," Arum said.
