MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao’s ring return has been moved yet again.

Top Rank Inc., which handles Pacquiao's fights, has formally requested that the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) reserve December 8 for the Filipino boxer’s next fight.

"As is the customary procedure for working with the NSAC, we requested the date from them," Top Rank vice president Carl Moretti said in ESPN.

"The potential match-ups are all being discussed with Manny and his team, and we anticipate the process to be completed in a timely fashion for all involved."

Pacquiao’s return was originally set on November 10, before it was moved to December 1.

But since Miguel Cotto has reserved December 1 for a junior middleweight title clash against Austin Trout, Pacquiao’s camp decided to move their fight date to December 10.

Cotto was actually one of Pacquiao’s possible opponents before the Puerto Rican decided to take on Trout.

This left Pacquiao to decide between Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez.

Top Rank’s Bob Arum said the fighting congressman has already made his pick.

Arum added that they will make a formal announcement at the end of the week.
