Grand Slam-seeking San Miguel Beer has brought in a new American reinforcement to improve its chances in the Governors' Cup.
Terik Bridgeman replaces Wendell McKines after the Beermen lost 103-100 to NLEX sending them to the middle of the standings with a 3-2 win-loss record.
Bridgeman will be tested against Alaska in their 5 p.m. game Saturday at AUF Sports Arena & Cultural Center in Angeles City, Pampanga.
"We welcome Mr. Bridgeman and hope that he could provide the things we need in order for us to be successful this conference," San Miguel Beer team manager Gee Abanilla said in a story posted on the PBA website.
Facing the Beermen is an Alaska squad seeking a breakthrough win in the PBA Governors’ Cup, or in the past 5 months for that matter.
Alaska is 0-6 and second to last in the standings, just ahead of NLEX, but the Aces are currently on a 14-game losing streak since the Commissioner's Cup.
